Alvin was the first person to give our founder Jon a serious introduction to Mezcal, back in 2016 during a visit to Oaxaca’s central valleys. Having been around the mezcal scene for decades, Alvin has a valuable insight to the development of the market, particularly when it comes to what it means for his adopted home of Oaxaca and the mezcal producers he counts as friends. This latest edition of his book is a collaboration with photographer Spike Mafford.
